The Association of Community Pharmacists of Nigeria (ACPN) founded in 1979, is a technical arm of Pharmaceutical Society of Nigeria (PSN) and a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation/Community Pharmacy Section (FIP/CPS).

Our Mandate

ACPN has branches in the 36 states of the federation, as well as in the federal capital territory (FCT). The ACPN is committed to empowering every community pharmacist to embrace Best Pharmacy Practice and collaborate with all stakeholders in the health sector to promote quality healthcare.

The activities of ACPN include drug information services, the provision of primary healthcare services, advocacy, capacity building, members’ protection, and welfare.

Through the numerous members located across Akwa Ibom State, the ACPN Akwa Ibom State provides the following essential services:

  • Drug dispensing and patient counseling.
  • Drug and health Information services.
  • Provision of pharmaceutical care which involves rational drug therapy monitoring, medication counseling and medication therapy management services.
  • Provision of primary healthcare services, point of care services, and health referral services.
  • Orphan and vulnerable drug services, and healthcare missions to communities.
  • Provision of HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, STI and reproductive health services to communities.
  • Marking of WHO important diseases days.
  • Community pharmacy anti-retroviral refill services, and immunization services.
  • Drug storage/distribution services.
